When was the last time that any student from any class truly used such a rigourous pursuit of knowledge and skill? <br /><br />We, as educators, must begin the discussion about the changes in student behaviours, interest levels and skill levels as they progress through the grades to determine where we, as a whole, are failing to create and develop enthusiastic learners. Why are our classrooms filled with a sea of apathetic, passive students that are more interested in recess and phys-ed than almost any other thing that they do in school.<br /><br />Two concepts recently brought to my attention that could be part of the progressive change in the way I teach are project based learning and 20% personal learning.
